![]() It’s a pretty big plot point so in the spirit of #NoSpoilers, I’ll leave it off but I’m still scratching my head over it. I think it’s because of this that I really questioned a huge choice Zane made regarding another character. The characters were all fairly well developed in the way that I felt like I could have spoken with most of them, though I definitely couldn’t get into anyone’s head other than Zane’s. ![]() There are a few TW/CWs, which I will add at the end of the post. ![]() I picked up The Storm Runner because I’m using it for a Middle Grade book club at work and I can’t expect 8-12 year olds to read the book if I haven’t. Of course in this title Fitzpatrick ups her game by adding a more active and potent list of characters, namely Hank Millar, her biological father, her mother’s boyfriend, and also her kidnapper. ![]() Unlike Crescendo, Silence actually has a plot: Nora was held hostage by Nephilims and her memory is wiped out, and for once in her life Nora does something instead of sitting in bed, whining about Patch: she’s out to get her memories back. It seems like Silence is Fitzpatrick’s way of apologizing for the sorry piece of teenage mush that was Crescendo. ![]() Unfortunately, I already have the complete set, and wouldn’t that be kind of defeatist to stop reading a saga because I loved the first one and absolutely hated the second? Anyhow, allow me to continue. After plowing through Crescendo, you must think me mad to actually try to read another Fitzpatrick novel. ![]() |
